Grizzly Man

Just watched it. Hard to say that it's an enjoyable movie, but it's certainly a movie that will get you thinking. It's sometimes hard to watch, but it is definitely an experience. It's both, a look into a disturbed mind and a look into the world of the grizzlys. Worth a watching, but it may not be for the faint of heart.

What's a "grizzly," the fatty part of the steak? Man those are hard to cut off, I can see how it can be hard to watch.

Yes, he and his girlfriend are killed and eaten by the bears.
spoiler?

No, it's not a suprise. They tell you that they were killed in the first few minutes of the movie. It even says it on the dvd cover.

Well, the guy was convinced he understood bears better than anyone else, and he did survive 13 summers among them. But he never really understood them, he treated them like children. He thought they loved him as he loved them. It just shows how disturbed this guy really was.

It was an enjoyable movie, the documentary on the music for the film is also excellent (bonus feature on the DVD). I think I actually enjoyed that more than the movie itself.

I can pretty much give a thumbs up to anything Werner Herzog has been involved in, especially his documentaries.

Incident at Loch Ness is also a lot of fun if you are familiar with Herzog's movies and some of the legends about the way he directs.
