Pizza Hut mans situation reminded me of a similar coupon fiasco I had at
Quizno's


Went to Quizno's on Sunday.
Armed with a Hot Deals coupon (rather weak, however, just $1 off
a small sub combo)
Quizno's has huge signs on the windows that advertise
$0.99 kids meals with adult meal purchase on Saturday and Sundays.
I get myself a small Traditional Combo
and my daughter a kids meal.
Dude charges me full price on the kids meal. (Like $3 something)
I say .. "Hold up... it's Sunday .. shouldn't it be $0.99 ?"
He doesn't know how to change it or something, grabs his
manager and the manager is like .. "No kids meal discount with coupon"
I'm like OK .. WTF ... it's only a $1 coupon . He wouldn't budge.
I point out the fact that by using the coupon and not getting the kids meal
discount I would be paying more than if I hadn't tried to use a coupon at all.
He didn't even understand that and was totally reluctant about taking
off the coupon and just giving me the kids meal discount.

I don't think I'm going there again. Already expensive enough
and they've always been coupon fascists ... Soemtimes saying
internet printouts are unauthorized, etc..


 
I never had problems with the buy one get one sub free coupon that was up about a month ago. Honestly, Firehouse>Subway>Everything else. Quiznos is probably the worst bang for the buck out of all of them. Didn't like the Italian that I had there nor did I like the bread.
 
Saw episodic's Pizza Hut solution


Unfortunately, looks like Quizno's doesn't even have a 1-800 number


Their "Cutomer Service" link on the website
is labeled "Store Specific" and just gives you the actual stores number.


 
I think the manager was correct technically speaking, but it is still very bad form and bad for business.
