I have a 97 ford expedition that is making a rubbing noise coming from the front left. But it stops when i make a left hand turn. i replaced the left hub and it is still doing it. could a CV axle be going bad?

It's a rear wheel drive SUV, it doesn't have CV joints. Possibly a stuck caliper or bad shock/strut, time to jack it up and have a look..

Might be a rock or something stuck in the brakes. i had a grinding noise from my front right wheel which would go away on left turns. I did a vigorous "slalom" at slow speeds and it hasn't come back since.
