Grill Recommendations + Information

So I share a house with several guys, and lately we've been thinking about splitting the cost of a grill since we'd all use it, and cooking a steak in a pan just isn't the same. However, I know nothing about grills, thus I turn to the knowledgeable people of ATOT.

I'd like to know what requirements, if any, should I have when shopping for a grill? One of my housemates insists on a gas grill with 3 burners, but aside from that I don't have any other qualifications. So, what should I look at? BTUs? construction material? From searching older threads it seems Weber is the overwhelming brand of choice, are there any others worth mentioning? Also, what's the typical price range for a decent grill, and what's a good place to purchase from? Any personal recommendations for a certain grill? Sorry for all the questions, and thanks in advance for any information.

I would just go get one that is $150 or less. If it's a group owned grill, no need going all out. Your housemate wants 3 outside burners, wtf?

Just get something that seems sturdy, replacement parts are readily available and easy to replace.

make sure its cheapish in nature. I have experiance with buying a community grill, when it comes time to say bye bye to the guys make sure that it's cheap enough for someone who wants it to buy out your share of the cost from you.
