I can understand reacting to assholes in a similar manner, but am disappointed that so many here don't seem to mind being the offending party. On pc games I'll generally just switch servers or players will voteban the asshole; I don't know if these are options on consoles as my online experience is limited to the pc.

I've done it once in Bad Company 2.

There was a guy in my squad eating and smacking into his mic, and then he started coughing up flem and clearing his throat, so I threw a grenade and I heard it over his mic also. Then I walked up to the closest guy in my squad and pulled out my pistol to see if it was him. I then noticed that he had a medic kit, so I shot him in the back, took his kit, revived him, then shot him again, and then threw a grenade on his corpse right before reviving him again.

I remember one time way back in the day when I used to play soldier of fortune 2 on the pc. I set my name to "a gay man" (please dont' take offence) so that when I killed someone, it would display on their screen (you were kiled by "a gay man")... lol. That would drive people nuts. My own team started to try to tk me, so I camped em out an pwned them.. haha, man that was a hilarious moment.

I've griefed years ago during random PvP matches in Guild Wars. If my team gets killed and I was out of rezzes, I would sometimes have my defensively built character run around the map avoiding death by the other team.

Invariably they'd drop out one by one until me an my team would get the win by forfeit (or only me since my dead team mates would drop out too most times). I'd have matches going on for over an hour sometimes, so I always had the TV nearby to watch as opponents tried to cuss me out for not dying.

That's about the only time I've griefed, but the only choice was to let them kill me so I didn't think it was so bad.

Back in the Halo 1 days, my friend and I went 2v4 against these guys at school. My name was ' ' and his was ' ' (I typed 1 space, and he typed 2 spaces) so they wouldn't know who was killing them.

By the end of the round the other guys were flipping out, accusing us of cheating (we were playing on their boxes), and just cussing us out left and right.

That was the last time I played Halo against a group in college I think. I had learned how to play with my friends in high school. At least 3 of them were nationally ranked players. Against them I was mediocre bordering on newbish, against anyone else (or anyone else and his 2-3 friends) I was ridiculous.
