Grief with a comp sharing wireless connection

Hey there.
I'm using a Belkin 4 port cable dsl gateway router to connect two xp machines to a wireless i-net setup. They both have zone alarm's free firewall, "I thought was most of the problem" One machine works great the other keeps coming up with dialog boxes wanting to connect or work offline, or asking to use the old dialup connection...even after deleting it and telling Internet explorer to never dial a connection. I'm very lost on this one 🙁

Please help...thanks

without looking at it it seems to be some kind of software problem IMO, basic pings might help resolving the problem, when you can't get connected try pinging your gateway and see if you get responses. ipconfig /all will show your gateway, then type ping ipaddressgoeshere. If ipconfig/all doesn't show a ipaddress or a gateway then you have DHCP or cabling or network problems in general, if one is there and you get responses then all is a-ok and you have a software problem.
