Grid on Windows7

Hi, i am a great fan of game Grid. I use to play it a lot earlier when i was using win xp. Now i have upgraded to win 7 and tried playing the game. But nothing happens. Iam not sure that the game is supported on Win 7. A search on above problem showed some links which suggested replacing a dll file which was reported missing when i tried to start it. But replacing the file didn't help me much. Does anyone has any similar experience and have fixed it?

Weird, I installed Grid from a disc some months ago and I didn't have any problems, then got it on Steam, installed there and no problems either.

I have the same problem, I have searched many posts on this issue in the Grid and Steam forums tried everything I can find and still same thing, I click on the Grid shortcut or in Steam to launch the game and for one sec a little window pops up and nothing.

Dumb question, but did you try loading it from the folder executable? I've had this issue when loading from the Steam menu before.

Ok, so it has been a long time since I installed this...and I know I had issues...I looked through my folder and remembered this:

N:\Steam\steamapps\common\grid\grid.exe -safemode

Make a shortcut to your exe and add -safemode, then run it. Then set your options and exit the game. (assuming it starts). Start the game with your normal exe. I believe mine was a graphics issue.
