Arr, back home for thanksgiving.
On top of the connection, this machine is a Compaq 2200. 180mHz Cyrix MediaGX, 48mb.

Just to think, I own 3 systems faster than this...

Ack, I am in that hell everyday! Don't expect any pity here! Well alright, you can have a little, but that's it! ;)

I remember that machine. It looks like a VCR. Resist the urge to jam a VHS tape into it.
I am going to be at my parents on Thursday and I'll have to use AOL on dialup. UGH. At least it's only one day. And, it's local. I'll be home Thursday night to bond with my DSL. ;)

I already gave them the 56k external(stupid compaq came with a 33.6, and of course no normal internal fits in there).

GF, I still deserve some pity for Compaq/Cyrix. It's one of those little itty bitty, completely integrated thingies. The 33.6 is the only card, and it's in what appears to be like a half-height 8-bit ISA slot or something. But at $100, I'll admit I bought(and promptly sold) one too.

Just think, my Virgin Webplayer I got today is faster than this thing...

I know. :(

AT will have to wait until Thanksgiving night. I gotta go to the liquour store tomorrow and get some stuff. I want to introduce my father to the Long Island Iced Tea. ;) I'll be occupied, but I will want to surf a little and get my mail. I'll probably have to fix some computer issue while I am there anyhow.

Oh, and more goofiness, it's got a 17" monitor sitting on top of it that's wider than it is.

And all the old high school girls are still in school tomorrow, I'm gonna get bored...
