This is the official web site to download it from. There is no RC7. Any web site that asks you for a DOB and SSN is doing two things. First, they're phishing for morons to get personal info from. Second, they likely have whatever is downloaded chock full of malware.

And JSt0rm, jailbreaking has legitimate uses. I used to jailbreak my iPhones prior to the iPhone 4 due to some functionality that eased my usage of the iPhone. However, with the iPhone 4, I have most functionality that I want/need. At least enough that I don't want to bother with a jailbreak.

My iphone is jailbroken. Its not illegal I guess.

I told at&t that after my 2 year contract was up I didn't feel like I needed to continue to subsidize my initial phone purchase with a higher monthly rate. That would be a bad business decision.

Again my point was to say never fear discuss what you like because these forums dont care.

Ok. Mistook what you wrote. Actually they do care. Discussing jailbreaking an iPhone is different from pointing to a website where you can download pirated apps for the iPhone. Outright promoting piracy or pointing to websites that provide pirated material is not allowed.

Certain discussions of hacking and how to break into a system may be allowed for informational purposes.
 
Jailbreaking and pirating are not the same thing, so its not a grey area. I jailbroke my iPhone, but was happy to pay the $20 for MyWi - the best money spent ever, and I've paid for a few other apps that I could only install through Cydia. I don't see the point in pirating $1-2 apps - especially if you've already paid the money and service for getting an iPhone.

The grey area for me would be having an NES emulator on my phone...
 
sinfuliphone is a good site to learn the ways of jailbreaking. but you have to remember alot of websites that talk about jailbreaking may discuss other topics which we do not discuss here. NSFW.

Would you seriously feel guilty about having an NES emulator on your phone?
Nintendo doesn't make money off of anything NES related so I'd just not worry about it and d/l a goodset. 🙂
