I like Gala and Braeburn.

Red Delicious apples are horrible. Where they got that name I have no idea.

I don't like red too much. To me they don't have enough flavor. Granny Smith are awesome though, had one this morning.

There is an apple called HoneyCrisp. It is a red. It is the sweetest, most juicy yet crisp apple i have ever eaten, and trust me, i have tried many. It is a good, all around baking and eating apple and makes the BEST apple crisp or baked apples ever.

All i do, is core out an apple with a spoon so the apple is a "cup". I mix the flesh with some butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and oatmea and brown sugar. I put that mixture IN the apple and bake for 25 min at 350F. the juices of the apple mix together with the crisp inside the apple. It is best served warm with a scoop of real vanilla ice cream!

The best red apples > the best green apples > most green apples > most red apples

I used to like granny smiths but the texture is unappealing to me now, and the flavor of pink lady is similar but superior. Braeburns have the best texture of the apples I've had, though the flavor isn't as good as other reds.
