Green texture anomalies when overclocking.

When I overclock my video card, sometimes I see green glitches on textures in games like Need For Speed Most Wanted, Far Cry, Ghost Recon. And sometimes it gets really intense.

Is there any way of avoiding that without lowering down the clock and memory frequencies? Or is it ok to keep such speeds? I'm afraid to burn my GPU though. But 10% increase in overall clock rates really improve FPS!

ASUS 6600GT Silencer, RAM: 256MB, Core: 500 (550), Memory 1000 (1100). Excellent cooling.

its ok to turn it all the way up on manual overclock. Dont mind the smoke or the seziure your monitor will be appearing to have. you will get awesome frames for about 7 seconds.

But it will be the most exciting 7 seconds ever...I say the OP should go for it.
