April 26, 2004 ? For years, health experts have touted the benefits of drinking green tea, but a new use for the ancient beverage has just been developed by researchers who are adding green tea to a machining compound used in the manufacturing process of computer hard drives.
According to a National Science Foundation press release, the new tea-based compound improves upon its counterparts because the compound works efficiently, is biodegradable, and minimizes environmental risks. The fluid may someday become a tech industry standard.
