Green Tea is awesome.

Anyone else a fan of Green Tea? I've recently discovered it to be quite tasty, and it's also extremely good for you.

yes i love green tea.

i'm talking about the real stuff here, dried tea leaves in water without other crap added. not nasty tea bags either.

but i don't like drinking warm/hot liquids so i don't drink it often enough

i love it, but i certainly think its an acuqired taste. it goes with sushi sooo well!!

Hopefully you're drinking real green tea and not that sugar-laden crap that you get at grocery stores. The amount of green tea in those sugar drinks is pathetic, and you're completely offsetting whatever benefits you might derive from the tea by the increased sugar.

I generally put loose-leaf green tea in an infuser, macerate, and maybe add a little bit of honey and mint to taste.

I used to drink a ton of it, but it's a diuretic so I cut down. I still enjoy it though, I make pots of it iced and add either lemon rinds or mint from my garden.

Fresh mint + tea == heaven, imo.

I don't drink the canned stuff very often, it has too much crap added. I prefer it hot from tea bags usually.

Indeed it does. You can get some really good bottled teas from "specialty" stores like Wild Oats, Akin's, etc. They have brands like "Honest Tea", which generally is nothing more than green tea + a tiny amount of sugar. Those places also usually have a very diverse number of teas, both loose and in a bag.

I should look into this, I've just recently become really interested in teas.
