I just took off my HSF and noticed that my CPU barely had any AS5 after about 2 months after a fresh coat. When I rubbed off the old goo I noticed that there was quite a bit of green stuff in it and was just wondering what this was. Is it from the heatsink being copper, the AS5 changing colors, or the CPU getting melted slowly?

Hahaha, your cpu is melting! Your cpu is melting! Oh wait, that would require ~1800-2000°F. I'm going to give you credit for that being synicism.:D And Gurck is right, it's just because you have a copper hsf, or an hsf with a copper insert, anyway. It WAS funny, though!

Ya I knew to say it was melting was stupid since it runs under 35C on load but I meant like corroding or something.
