I had it happen the other day for the first time. After the bios posted my scrren turned bright green and stayed that way. I had my pny gtx780 ti in when it happened. I immediately swapped it out for an evvga gtx760 and it also had the same green screen. I then shut down, removed the card and reset the bios and switched to integrated graphics and the color was back to normal. Later on I reinstalled my gtx780 ti and it was also normal so I'm wondering just what happened here.
Before and after any Bios flash, ALWAYS hit F5 to reset the bios settings, hit F10 to save settings then exit. Then after a Bios Flash you need to power off the unit, and do a Bios clear. It sounds like you just didn't do these steps, and you should be good to go. If you pull up the CPU-Z and look in the Main board tab you'll see what bios is on the board. Basically you did the right thing, you just didn't know you did it after you had too.............
Always do a full reset after Bios flash, if you ever have issue's that seem not to go away power down the unit remove the battery from the main board and move the Cmos jumper to pins 2+3 leave it over night. Com back put the jumper back to pins 1+2 then install battery power back up and it may or may not clear depending on the issue at hand.
