i'll post how it is

It's a leadlight and works fine as a pointer. Much brighter than a red due to the way human eyes work.

what are you going to use it for?
i personally wouldn't want to have one unless its only going to be used inside.
if you want it for astronomy or outside use, don't bother.

About the same force to press a button on a remote control. Tactile feedback is provided by a tiny snap disc switch on the inside.

If you need a continuous ON beam for night time photography you may want to look at the jasper line as these can be locked on. Some will use a rubber band to lock on the leadlights but they can overheat as they definitely have a duty cycle.

Also, DPSS lasers are very temperature sensitive so if your plans include extended outdoor use at lower temperatures plan on keeping the unit warm in hand before hitting that button!

oh and they hve 30 mooney back guarentee

What is your return policy?
Return it for any reason within 30-days of purchase and we'll refund your entire purchase price. Call (541) 738-4340 and we'll happily arrange for a return. When we receive your Jasper in good working condition we'll issue your refund. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

so it's safe to try it

Something about those pictures on think geek make me feel I have to own one of those. Anyone ever get that feeling? I can't think of any practical purpose that a green laser pointer would serve for me, but I find myself needing one. 😀

With that said, is the one on that candlepower forums good? It's whole "seeing the beam" part that gets me tingly.

LOL, no kidding. This green laser pointer is everything I never knew I wanted. I'm tempted to buy one right now.

Just use the red pointer when you're turning off street lights and the green for everything else 😛

A high power IR laser diode at 808 nm pumps a tiny block of Nd:YVO4 generating light at 1,064 nm which feeds a KTP intracavity frequency doubler crystal to produce the green beam at 532 nm.

That's insane sh!t.

lol
