Everything has a greenish yellow hue on my sisters screen....I believe it's the video card (a one year old GeForce 256 which has NOT be heavily used). The monitor's own menu is okay and in it's regular colors, thus I have to stick with the idea that the vid card is going whacko on me. Anyone know how to fix this? It was working fine for a while in the same setup.

Anyways, you guys think of something...I'm gonna go take it out and plug it back in :).

Thanks ppl!

I have seen this problem fixed more than once by giving the monitor a good thump with the flat of the hand. Try the side first and then the top.

Sounds more like the monitor. If you have another, plug it in and see if you get the same problem.

This problem is usually caused by a bad connection, open up the monitor check all the leads, could be a broken wire.

Nah bro, the monitor is fine...tested it with my vid card.

By the way, it's a brand spanking new Samsung SyncMaster 170MP (17" LCD/TV, for those who don't know).

Os is Win 98, but it doesn't matter, cuz when it boots up, even before getting into Win98, everything has a greenish/yellowish hue.

The rest of the system:
1.2 GHz/133 Mhz TBird
256 MB PC-2100 Crucial DDRSDRAM
Creative Labs GeForce 256 32 MB DDRSDRAM
IBM 20 GB/7200 RPM HD
ASUS A7M266
Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live! Value.
3COM modem.

Like I said, the menu's for the SyncMaster are all normal colored...thus it cannot be the monitor, something is wacky with the vid card...I took it out and plugged it back in, no dice.

IDEAS PPL! lol....oh well, if it's dead, then she gets a new Gainward/CardExpert 64 MB GeForce 2 Pro 450.

But word...I'd rather not!

She also could have been messing with the color in the video card properties. Go through the color stuff in the video card properties and set everything back to default.
