Green Guns in Counter Strike Source

Yes, i have an x800 xt PE built by ATI. But, i have a problem.

In Counter Strike Source, the guns are now appearing with a green-ish texture to them. Not the whole gun, but just parts of it, something to do with the levels lighthing I think. Anybody know if I have a setting configured wrong or such?

This problem didn't occur with the older drivers. I am using the latest drivers from ATI now, and that may be why, or maybe i just didn't configure the driver right.

I can post a screenshot if needed.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Is anything else odd, or is it just the guns? And is it just the gun you are holding or also objects on the ground?

Yes, a screenshot would be nice.

Here is a screenshot:

Anandtechs Link system is messed up. so, go to

You can notice a green texture on parts of the gun. The part of the gun that is green and the quantity of green change with the the lighting around the map.

Any ideas of what causes that?!

I sure hope it isn't the new drivers from ATI.

No, i have played a lot of CS Source, and it is obviously different.

Sry, for that screenshot, I think there must be a shadow over the gun. The green is usually a lot brighter on most parts of the map.

Any ideas?

does it matter that the gun is the wrong colour?

Is there anything else wrong with the game ? or the rest of the system you are running?

Also, the game is crashing a lot now. Crashes every 25minutes about. Screen jams up, then monitor clicks off, then back on to display a bunch of messed up color (usually yellow and orange) on the screen. And the speakers make an awful noise.

Is it the game, or the video card?

I have a 6800 Ultra OC and it does the green textures as well, so it must be game related rather than something with your system related

What happens when you run the video test thing? Does that look funny too?
