Possibly stuck pixels...
Google or search here "stuck pixels" for possible solutions...Q-tips solved it in some cases if I remember correctly.

Google UDPixel - if you have stuck/dead pixels it can remove them by using a flashing box which you leave for a while (my 2005fpw had a couple that it removed).

Or some people have gently pushed the pixels in (Apparently get dislodged) by rubbing the affected area but I didnt trust that on my £380 monitor.
