The past few times I have purchased anything with an LCD screen it has had a "stuck pixel" or green dot on it. It doesn't seem to matter where I buy from (newegg, best buy, walmart, etc). So, are these dots very common or am I just SOL? Also, any way to fix them?

It cant be the monitor causing the green dots.

Its your video card. Theres no way you can try 3 diff monitors and they all have green dots.

Your video card is heating up or VRAM on it is dying... You need a new video card but you can try taking fanspeed to 100 percent and see if dots are still there but it will be loud as heck...

Is the pixel in the same place every time, or random places? Did you try returning to Best Buy or Walmart for a replacement? Did the replacement work out?

Wow, for once tweakboy may be onto something. Now I'm glad I didn't put him on my ignore list. :whiste:

Dead/stuck pixels are common enough that if you go through enough monitors/notebooks, you'll eventually encounter it. However, it isn't so common as to get the same color on every single monitor you try.

Green pixels is common for VRAM issues.
