This is not shaping up to be a white Christmas at all. Twice now, we've gotten blizzard-like conditions for a few hours, blanketing everything with snow. Then it POURS. Right now it's about 10-12C. A couple of crusted chunks of ice-snow lay in the ditches like remnants of some forgotten climate. An hour away, there's 10 cm on the ground. Makes me want to scream. When I was a kid, there was ALWAYS enough snow by Dec 1 to go sledding/skiing, build a snowman, etc. I'm moving to the North Pole.

Be happy that you have a few chunks of ice...all I have is empty promises...oh, and I get another empty promise tomorrow and Friday night. :(

then again, you could be in Michigan with me and have all the snow you want. Got 7" Saturday night with another 3-8" projected for tonight; right now we have more then 16" on the ground (bottom layers are a bit compacted). The snow banks are getting pretty high and people are having to push 'em back just to handle the new stuff. Haven't seen a winter like this since '76; gotta love it. Been out on the snow shoes and made some great snow men. Should be an excellent Festival of Lights, though the wildlife is taking it on the nose :(
