It's the typical mouse click 3rd person isometric shooter. Kinda reminds of Torchlight in Space [without all the crazy freakin loot]. :)

Not worth $15.99 though - Wait until it comes down to $9.99.

I loved Space Siege.

Sometimes something simple is all that is required to keep us entertained (See: Tower Defence threads (PvZ, DG:A etc))

Might pick this up when it gets cheaper.

I almost bought it, but then I went on YouTube and looked at the game-play videos, it looks very boring and bland, and it looks like it's just long and medium range weaponry, and if there's a thing I don't like in hack and slash games, even in Diablo II, is to have to keep my distance with mobs, I mean all the time, I prefer going in melee with Barbarian types of characters or at least a character that has a combination of both long-range and melee skills (for instance the Druid or the Assassin in DII), it's just the way I prefer playing such games, and certainly Greed: Black Border isn't based on any fantasy pseudo-medieval setting with a good variety of melee attacks, it's futuristic, it has guns and more guns, so I backed up and changed my mind about it fast enough, I won't bother.

Instead I would pick up Shadowgrounds: Survivor, which I myself do not own but I played it at a friend's place and it was fun, although nothing mind blowing, but I would have preferred that one over Greed for sure.

Alright, I finally played the demo. First and least important: The graphics are fantastic.
But most of you know my policy that graphics do not make the game.
Gameplay with sometimes slow, sometimes fast. In the demo they try to create an atmosphere of suspense, which totally does not work for this type of game.
Controls are clunky and I found no way to improve them. There is no weapon switching, and so far everything seems to be ranged. Movement is always slow, and I dont think there are items or skills to speed it up. Enemies looked even better than the environment, and were very detailed in movement. But most of them wanted to rush up and slash me, and theres no defense against that, at least none in the demo.

Overall I am not impressed. If the controls were fluid and the gameplay more engaging I could see spending 10-15 dollars on it. As it is, its a nice tech demo for what could have been a solid game. But they spent too much time on the pretty things and not enough time on the substance. I recommend everyone download the demo just to see what a hack'n'slash game should look like. Then go play Titan Quest for what a hack'n'slash game should feel like.
