Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf?

I wonder if it was the same wolf that kid saw or a bunch of different ones?

IF that kid was sat in the middle of a bee hive and called out, "Bees, Bees everywhere are Bees"... would there be?

Do you think the Bees know that they are Bees or do they simply go about being what they are regardless?

Speaking about Bees, I wonder if them "Killer Bees" are born intolerant of anything that don't appear to be one of their own or is it they simply learn not to trust the rest of nature cuz they are so small as individuals and see anything bigger as a threat... I never heard an Ant cry, "Bees"... wonder if they do, in Ant speak of course...

Of course. Same idiot as the bigots who cry Obama at a feverish pace incessantly in these forums. A bigot is a person whose opinion is colored by feelings he or she is unconscious of. That would make you a bigot too. You don't understand the anger you feel when somebody implies you are a bigot. A bigot is a person who is sure he has to be right and nobody should ever refer to him with any negative term.

But, out of curiosity, are you with CW in mastering every field of knowledge you have an opinion on and consider your view to be expert, or do you listen Rush Limpbrow for the latest talking points, spouting those instead?

I am all for as much expertise as a person can get, but I think most of the expertise that anybody has is acquired from other experts they consult and seek out as teachers and most folk look for accredited teachers. I know when I go a lot of places, I see all these documents of this and that mastered all over the walls. They are there, I assume, to tell me my bill will be larger than if I went to the local pub for information.

In a world full of self hating horses asses, everybody wants and fancies himself to be an expert in everything. This makes it tough on folk like me who don't know anything. I do know, however, that even though I can tell a bigot, I can't tell him much for more than one reason.

Do you know the story of the Zen Master who cried 'Tea cup'?

Killer bees are bigots

I'd think so... Intolerant little critters. I don't really know what it is they protect... certainly nothing I'm interested in disturbing. What they ought to do is adopt a better or at least a different philosophy! Be a decent Bee and others won't try to destroy them while they go about their own peaceful existence. Sorta stick to their own hive - so to speak.

I get so tired of the same regurgitated BS.

http://calculatedriskimages.blogspot.com/2010/09/government-spending-as-percent-of-gdp.html

http://calculatedriskimages.blogspot.com/2010/09/government-employment-ex-education.html

The vast majority of the current deficit was driven not by government employment, but by wars, tax cuts, and bailouts.

TAXCUTS...?

LoL

Taxcuts are not spending until you can understand that there is no argueing with you. Wrap your head around that. I bet you do not even try...

Wow... Miss the point much?

I never advocated backed currency. I only pointed out the extreme downside to trying to print your way out of debt.

And Greece is a great example to every country. If you have more people reliant on the government than you have producing in the private sector, you'll fail.

Don't worry Legendkiller only thinks in his own small world. And you're right it is all about income to debt and Greece owes bigtime.

Only because you think your money belongs to you. Until you wrap your head around the fact that he has just as much a right to everything you make as you do, you'll never understand him and Moonbeam.

Thanks for outing yourself socialist.

I Earned the money. The guy driving the old caddy with a 55" LCD playing PS3 all day in a project or his mom's Basement didn't earn it. I pay taxes but there is no freaking way raising taxes in this economy for anyone is a smart thing especially when spending is out of control. What I earn or WHAT YOU EARN isn't his or Any politicians to mishandle and waste. Our politicians have proven over and over they cannot be trusted with more money. They feel entitled to the money we earn and take it for granted. And then want more.

I'm sorry you think we need cradle to grave nurturing to get us through this hard thing called life.

I just want you to know I'm with you on most of this. I don't like government waste and I think any down cycle stimulus should be intelligently targeted to boost jobs that will create societal benefits, like energy independence, but I can't stand socialists like CW either. That bastard thinks my money is his money but my money belongs to society, and of course only some of it. We need some government and even small government doesn't pay for itself.

The bad thing about democracy is that when poor people figure out they can vote themselves money, they will.

And the people with the brains and the time to figure that out are the rich. So what they did is spend the money to brainwash the moron poor into voting for them and pass the dollars up.

Now we have a mess, the poor are still poor and bellyaching about not having jobs and the rich are under more threat. It's going to get harder and harder to keep those morons from revolution. We're due for something like a tea party.

You shouldn't call people who think like you idiots.
And you should probably just stop talking. Then you might have time to think about what you have said in this thread and realize that you are the biggest hypocrite to ever visit this forum.

You simply lack the education, intelligence, and expertise to understand me. I am a master of this subject matter and know what I am talking about. You know nothing so for you, any idea you fancy has relevance, but, of course, only for you. I am so far beyond you, you're not even in the game. ;)

I wonder when folks use the term "Tea Party" if they realize that Hancock had warehouses full of tea that he acquired at a price which was higher than what the tea the Patriots tossed in Boston Harbor after George eliminated the 'tax' and he did do that before the party...
IF that is true then it is all about ideology, I guess. Folks motivated to act based on some idea that is not in sync with the underlying basis for action.... IMO, much like some of the Economic considerations enacted by either side of this equation.

It seems to me a Tax is simply a transfer of wealth from the population in proportion to benefits derived from the ability to be taxed... IOW, the greater the 'income' the presumed greater advantage derived from living in that location. The tax is then apportioned among the various needs of the population in general.
Never forget that it is the less fortunate who provide the ability for the rich to enjoy their being taxed in greater amounts, individually... Ergo, the rich (a term I use to define those who invest in supply creation) want the masses to demand and to demand the masses need dollars...
When the rich pay no taxes they earn no money... in a general sense... loopholes omitted from consideration here..

Does that mean CW fucked himself by making taxable money instead of being one of the luck ones who gets a transfusion or does he pay a pint to get back several gallons? Either way is sure looks like taxes are a really really good investment. Only a self hater would shoot his own lunch. I can't get it out of my mind that Warren Serve Yourself Lunch says he and the rest of the rich pay too little in taxes.

Buffet knows that if he paid a gazillion in taxes at the current state of taxation he'd own Mars, Venus and probably Neptune... and would try to induce CW into an investment in the ore of those locations...

He knows that the cost of his derived 'rich person' benefits are undervalued if it is based on how much he pays to enjoy them.

I did what you forced me to do: I took a government job to make sure I never pay more than I take. Now I sit on the couch while "earning" your money. See how fun your ideal system can be when it plays out in reality?

You are probably that idiot. You think in terms of understanding when you don't understand anything. Your tea cup is full of understanding.

The economic situation in Greece and the US are different scenarios and scientific consensus is useful to lay people. You will either adjust to those realities or you won't. Your pea brained excursions into side shows like having to be expert to have a truly informed opinion are minor irrelevancies in a greater theme. You are a pin head and get bogged down in drawing lines when the lines form a bigger picture. You are like a fly that gets caught up on a small piece of fly paper announcing to the rest of us the world is sticky.

Try to step back and get some perspective. Your strengths are also your weaknesses. You drill straight down and think the world is your core sample.

Work on being more holistic. Modesty would be a first step. Maybe think of yourself as having a major brain defect, the forest for the trees kind of thing.

You spend so much effort defending your limited understanding of things you don't have any resources left to see a bigger picture. Get a liberal arts degree. It's the generalists who know a little about a lot that make the big connections that open new fields.

I don't see a damn thing here as it's garbage in and garbage out. And if you have a government job that's fine by me. I don't judge you by what you do or how much you make. I only worry if your couch is better than mine. I have a black leather Italian one that's up in the thousands and I sleep on it in my clothes so I can fight instantly if somebody tries to steal it.

Hehe. This is why you are the biggest hypocrite here. You think that you are the only one who understands anything but tell me to be modest. Taking a look back through this thread, you'll see I never claimed to understand anything. Your prejudices have rotted your brain to the point where you have nothing to offer but worthless palliatives and trite philosophies about nothing.

This is another place you and I differ. If someone asked me for my couch, I would give it to him. If someone told me they were going to vote for someone so they could come and take my couch away using the power of law rather than simply asking, I would punch him in the throat.
