I hadn't listened to them in awhile but was watching Rocky and damn they've got some good songs, journey, survivor, etc.

Quite a number of Journey's good songs are actually from the 70's but your sentiment is well founded. In fact just about any music pre 1990 is better than the overwhelming majority of post 1990 music. Rap and it's influences has systematically destroyed popular music.

Aside from Lady GaGa, Journey has to be the greatest band in the history of the universe. I can listen to their entire collection for days on end, you see. Their music is just so beautiful. Nothing else compares. Everyone knows this.

I nominate Neal Schon as most underrated guitarist in music history.

He may not be the best or the flashiest, but he is certainly the backbone of nearly every Journey song.

What is with the double posts??

Did we port some of Fusetalk's errors just to make everyone feel at home?

I think the 1988 Greatest Hits album is pretty faithful to what most people would consider their best.

Liked them better before Steve Fairy joined the group but they were a lot more successful after he did. Went from a second bill band to a headliner.Real popular with the chicks, not so much with the guys..well back then before guys started shaving their nads and underarms.

Y'all do know Loving, Touching, Squeezing was written in a brain storming session where the band members participated in a circle jerk.
