So I just missed my bio test...

Went to the earlier period - was wondering why they're doing brain synapsis and why the professor said the test will be on Friday. This is what studying all night does to you - brilliant now I'll have to drop the class...just when I thought how great it was to not have the test today suddently things change a 50 mins later. Doubt any professor would grant me a retake but yeah great day so far :disgust:

No I went to the 2nd period class instead of 3rd pd. there was a different professor there but the problem is that they switch after the 2nd test for bio here and I thought it was the new guy...that class whatever it is has a test on Friday...

Brain fart, I don't know why I was telling myself to go to 8:30 instead of 9:35...I have Geography at 8:30 on MWF...I emailed the professor and I'll go to his office hours but I doubt I'll get anything done - pray for me.

I've had memory problems since I was hit by a car back in April but nothing as bad as this before...

Brain fart, I don't know why I was telling myself to go to 8:30 instead of 9:35...I have Geography at 8:30 on MWF...I emailed the professor and I'll go to his office hours but I doubt I'll get anything done - pray for me.

I've had memory problems since I was hit by a car back in April but nothing as bad as this before...

i wouldn't send another one just to say that. see how he answers your email and if it isn't favorable then tell him in person about your car accident.

 
Alright thanks, if he doesn't grant it anyways after that then I think that's the official end of the Premed track for me. My grades have faultered last semester and I had dropped 2 classes before last spring (when I was hit by the car). So yeah, might be time to start reconsidering stuff...

I learned just now that I missed the exam because I attended the wrong section of the class. I have had memory problems stemming from a car accident last Spring and while I don't want to use that as an excuse, I have had memory problems which were caused by a car accident some time ago.

Would you be kind enough to allow me to make up the exam? If I didn't have memory problems brought on by an accident in April, I would not have missed the exam.

I am sorry for any inconvenience I have caused, but I was hit by a memory bus driven by April.

kranky, that had me laughing at my desk. Hard. Nice.

czech--talk with your prof in person about it. You'd be surprised sometimes that profs can be understanding--they went to school once upon a time too.

My freshman year I slept through a midterm, showed up with 10 minutes left before the class period ended, and was just too panicked/stressed to even fill out part of it. I wrote "I'm sorry, I can't do this" in the blue book, handed it in, and was stopped at the door by my prof, who asked what the hell was going on. I explained that I had been up late studying, and slept through my alarm, and that the only reason I woke up for the exam was that another friend of mine in the class finished early and ran over to my dorm to get me, and that I was just too frazzled to do anything with the 10 minutes I had left.

She told me to take an hour, go get breakfast, take a shower, and come meet her in her office to take the exam.


Maybe you'll get lucky and your professor will be understanding.
 
you should write these things down. i have a pretty shite memory and write stuff down when i have due dates. be obnoxious to yourself and write it in places you know you'll see.

Talk to the professor. At UF you only get 2 drops per 60 credit hours, so you probably won't be able to drop this class with a 'W'
