i leave it on at night playing some ambient trance in the background, it helps me sleep... and last night we had a surprise hell of an electrical storm.... i was awoken about 4am to a strange burning smell filling the room, and i realized the music wasnt playing... so i went to investigate... the receiver still powers on just fine, with no errors or anything.... but the only input source it will play is it's internal AM/FM tuner.... wont pick up the digital coax signal from my computer, wont even play the stereo RCA inputs from the VCR attached...
that sucks... but its served it's purpose... it's a 5+ year old JVC DD/DTS 5.1 receiver i've had for years....played strong for a long time...
