Great Shredder for cheap

I ordered the shredder Destroyer from Geeks last week. They had a special and it was $98.00 plus shipping then. This is $29.00 or so more, but this thing is great. Looks like a miniature Intimus 007 that we used to destroy official stuff, but doesn't pulp the paper. Be prepared for it to be heavy to move. It weighs 70 pounds or more (depending on who weighed it last) and is a little hard to get up stairs, but worth the effort.

Shipping Method Shipping Cost
Ground Service $56.00
3 Day Service $144.00
2 Day Service $222.00
1 Day Service $292.00
1 Day AM Service $315.00

EEK!

Still a good deal as it retails for over $300.00 and that seems cheap after I got it and used it a couple of times. Mine was $161.00 in the door.

You guys must be bankers

The Intimus ones were $6,000 to $11,500.00. Only one compromised document can cost a lot more. I have a $20.00 one that I got at Office Max that worked OK, but was slow and had to be emptied every day or so. This one has a container for the shred that takes plastic bags and will hold a couple of months of shred.

I wish they had this when I was shopping for a shredder last fall. It looks far more impressive than the $100 one I got from Staples-but that works fine for ordinary uses.

that thing is a beast. I have one that does credit cards, cds, and 12 sheets at a time that is maybe 30 pounds, i throw whole letters in it without opening them no problem. I can't see why this one would be worth dealing with something so heavy, maybe in an office environment where you don't want anyone moving it.

Your post says $29.00 but geeks website says $129.00. Dont know if your mistake or Geek's made a price mistake that they fixed.
Reading comp 101! My post says: This is $29.00 or so more. Pointint out the difference between the deal of a week ago and the standard Geeks price. Sorry about the confusing wording. This is commercial grade and the shredder head is guaranteed for 13 years! Good for a small office too. Not sure if the factory agrees, but it is beefy! All metal construction, etc.

I got this one last year during tax season, its not great, but it hasnt really jammed yet, and ive tried.
Its not supposed to, but ive fed it cds and credit cards without much of an issue. Says 7 sheets but ive fed it more than that too, he he he.
