I used a program like it a while back when I played the Viola in college, but I couldn't find anything for free until now. All you have to do is give them your email(I haven't got any spam) and they give you a password so you can download it. It's the free version of Finale from the same company (Finale being the $700 version that lets you compose music).

It has enough features for me to fool around with. Lately I have been changing around the notes to Sweet Child of Mine, or fooling around with different rounds of cannon with different instruments. It even has guitar tabs.

I know there are some here that would enjoy it.
