I just got contacts for the first time ever yesterday because my far eyesight has been real bad for at least a couple years but I never even had glasses before. So anyway at the place when I get them she tells me how to put them in and it took me 5 min or so to get the first one in but then I got the other in ok, took them out, then put them back in before I left and the 2nd time I put them in it took like a minute. Wow, it's so weird to see clearly for the first time that I remember. Everything is so clear and vivid, and I can see textures on all types of objects and stuff. People look so different!

And this morning rolls around and I tried for TEN minutes straight trying to get even the first damn thing in! It usually doesnt come off my finger or I just blink and it knocks it off. Then when I think it's in I look down only to find it on the countertop. So with no success on even one I just had to forget it and go to school. I get home from school&work and only had about 5 min before I had to leave again to try putting them in and still no luck. And now I honestly tried for yet another 10 minutes with no luck. :disgust:

its easier if you get "harder" contacts instead of the super soft one... the trick is to get it so that the contact rest nice and firm on your fingertip... so you dont want it to be too moisturized and wet so its sitting all soggy... if its nice and firm, and u apply it to your cornea right, it'll kinda suction up on your eyeball and attach instead of u having to "jam" the contact in there

Once it's in your eye, look up once, and then look down once. This usually sets the contact in place so that it won't come out when you blink. You have to get used to it as I was the same way. Now I can take it out put it back in in no time.
