I have been shopping for months for a notebook that has 5 simple features:
i5-25xxM (Or any 4 thread cpu that will give a 13 second single thread super pi 😛)
A USB 3.0 port
128GB SSD
Win 7 Pro 64
2 DIMMs (dual channel 1333 at least)
For under $1000.
I cant find one. Seriously.
I can buy a cheapo slickdeal i5 USB3.0 notebook and a samsung 830 and install it myself for under $850 total, but that is not something I'm prepared to do for a large deployment.
What is going on here? Am I seriously the only one who has any common sense as to what to want from a notebook? Why would someone spend $500 on a cpu just to pair it with a craptasticly agonizingly slow 5400 rpm $28 notebook hard drive?
