Not a big soda drinker, but I'd try it just to see what it was about.

It's like you're going out of your way to antagonize me. What's next? MS Paint drawings of saw horse stealing Canadian Saw Mooses? (Meece?)

When i go on my herbal tea and water binge, suddenly this comes out. Nice going Pepsi. I would have been all over this. Nope, not gonna fold for it either. Not in the mood to shit non stop again cause of all the corn syrup and all the other nasty ass artificial ingredients. Also not in the mood to put on the 40+ pounds i lost since i quit drinking it either lol.

Reminds me of the suicide soda we used to get as kids.

Suicide soda? You part of the Jim Jones cult or something? WUT?

Edit: What I am meaning to say is, I've never really heard of such a thing. Was that when you mix different sodas together, like a punch bowl of soda or something? That could probably get... kind of crazy.

I'm not sure I'd go with "great" actually ... Pepsi is too sweet for me to begin with never mind plus pineapple.

Nonsense! .... That was Flavor-Aid! ;)

I have a friend that's in his late 50's, and if we eat at a place with self-serve soda, he does that, pouring at least 3 different things in his cup.

Flavor-aid, actually....Jim Jones had them all drink Flavor-aid. ....guess they were too cheap to rapture everyone on the good stuff?

It's funny when you think about it, though. As common a cultural phrase that has long been, even though it is inaccurate, it really hasn't effected Kool-Aid at all, has it? Solid evidence that there is no such thing as bad publicity, eh?

Oh! It appears that both were present, so probably accurate either way

I was curious how Kool-Aid actually responded to the event and if it really effected their brand in a trackable way.

It's pretty common, yes, to mix different sodas and call it a suicide. Why? Hell if I know, I heard it from other kids in the 80s. Typically just into your cup, not a punch bowl.

My daughter does this frequently although I've never heard it referred to as a "suicide" until this thread?

It's hard to appreciate how much you don't want something until you find out it exists. Like a truly disturbing sub-genre of porn, you can go through your entire life and not ever have it hit home that people engage in that sort of depravity. And then when you learn that they do, you can never view humanity the same way again. This is like that.
