Great news hot dealers. I just spoke to American Express, I have been a card member there for years and they have a special 800 number for their long term customers. A lot of the time the people answering this line know alot more than the normal phone reps. I was busy complaining that I could only use my Amex Gold for the best value guarantee. "Susan" let me know that there is a new card coming out specifically for people like us!
From what I got out of the conversation:
Will be called Amex Green (as in money)
Anything you buy with it will be covered for 1 month against price drops, to make a claim all you have to do is send in a dated photo of yourself, your Green Card and the product you bought, along with a lower price. Simply send that in and they will send you CASH back.
It also has a built in feature called "ebay bulk buyer". If you buy and pricematch at least 20 of the same product at the same time, and show that you managed to sell at least 19 of them for a $1 profit on eBay, they will increase your credit line by 10% !
