correction. comet cursor is not spyware, not by the technical or loose definition of
the term. i had a nasty surprise a couple years ago when i discovered comet cursors
in my add/remove list, even though i never downloaded it, and has tainted my perception
of it ever since. i remembered it came with the realjukebox download and combing through
a few articles - just now - only refreshed and confirmed my faint rememberings. real
networks ended their association with comet cursors. comet systems, the parent site,
has an excellent user privacy statement, which includes a list of retractions from
major publications who mistakenly reported their product as spyware.

btw, i'm still going to use them. there are better pointer mods out there
