For a while, I has an eye on Bestdealmagazines ($4 subscription) to renew my great MaximumPC and others. But've never seen them listed there.

Do research and finally settle for this site Magazinevalues. They have alot of good Mags for cheap. Check it out!

Here are some:

Sport Compact Car $6.97 (hot).
Maximum PC 1 $6.97
PC Magazine $9.97
Computer Shopper $6.97
Computer Games $4.97
Consumer Reports (w/ Buying Guide) $19.97

You need to be their members and the catch is ?

Do you think this is legit? I've never heard of this company before... Has anyone had any experience ordering magazines from them?

Yeah, that's definitely a good price for Max. PC and the other computer games magazines, but I'm addicted to those CD's I get with each issue and I'm willing to pay more to get them. Although Max. PC for $6.97 a year really is a good deal.

Definitely some HOT deals if they go through as stated, but it sure does seem too good to be true. Hmmm, still, I think it's worth a try for these prices! :)

I'm sure this is a hot deal but I have to take exception to calling maximumPC a great magazine.

I've subscribed off and on since boot 01 and have been totally depressed to see the content take a massive downhill slide over the last couple of years.

I seriously doubt I would renew even they gave it away for free.

Course there is the humor value, like reading reviews of case mods where they don't even tell you the model or manufacturer of the case that was modded.

But hey it has a cool quake logo!

Couldn't agree with you more trikster2. For some reason I remember liking boot a lot more than MaximumPC...it seems like they've "softened" over time and seem to have gone more "mainstream". Guess they felt they would get more subscribers by doing that. Given that I still think MaximumPC is one of the better computer mags out there though...
