according to the performance matrix table in the article, I got a whopping 70% gain from my ex x800xl to the current 7800 gt. WOW...money well spent
great reading for those who need to upgrade but cannot yet make up one mind.

you also lose 5% if you go from a 7800GT to a x1800XT. but you gain 6% if you "upgrade" from a x1800XT to a 7800GT

Woot 42 fps with 1280 by 1024, 4xaa 8xaf, with a 7800GTX, SLI gets 35 fps, woot, now I know that SLI system is a waste on high settings
