Any ideas? I'm looking at desks. I'd like a nice desk. My current one is kinda crappy and wobbly. I don't want a wobbly desk, at all. It's gotta have an earthquake go on and not shake, basically. :hmm: What do you have and what does it look like?

If want you something really solid, you're looking at expensive fancy wood desks (think executive style).

On the other hand, if you want something reasonably solid (not going to shake when you type), there are tons of options out there. I like the Ikea Galant (with T-legs for sturdiness).

Staples has some very nice, not too expensive glass desks. I'm not a fan of wood.

You can built something and have really solid. I could probably put an engine block on my desk without a problem. :awe:

Since you go to college, see if you can sign up for a woodworking/shop course. Learn a new skill. Build your own. Profit.

Maybe Trident should give us some idea of what he's looking for. Storage, surface area, shelving, etc.

I am not paying for that. I have a free ride for courses that actually go towards my degree.
Everyone needs electives and some sort of fallback skill/trade. I used to have the same mindset as you, but looking back, I wish I would've done that (not that I have needed to use any fallback, but still).

Learn to build something with your hands. You can really take pride in things you make yourself.
