One is for TDMA, one is for GSM1900, get whatever suitable for you, but i must say 8260 sucks when comparing to 8290,
thicker, heavier, no easy change case, but tdma/analog dual mode is better than pcs only in theory.

If you want to go with AT&T, they've Panasonic ProMax, $50 cheaper than 8260 at list price, that's same look as the famous GD90 in Asia (but it's already out - i mean outdated, last generation phone). Panasonic ProMax looks better than the 8260.

 How do I buy the phone off the website? Is the offer only for a certain area?

This is a good, deal the free 8260 is only offered by MCIWireless, with SVC through MCI, which is like signing a contract with the devil.

Those who sent the 75$ AT&T rebate.. and the 30$ nokia one..
CALL the 877# on your rebate..
I got the # off the 30$ rebate.. and my 75$ rebate was processded..
but they had no RECORD of my 30$ rebate..
I have to submit it ALL over again, and then wait another 3 months
for all this to be processed (what a buncha crap)
O well, at least the 75$ will be here by mid-march.
I *hate* rebates.

Buy.com has the same phone for $79.99 with no coupons. Same one year contract with AT&T required. Same $30 rebate from AT&T.
