I recently put together a RAID array made up of two striped disks (one Maxtor and one WD...I know they aren't the same, but I hope that isn't the cause of the problem here.)
They are striped with an 8K stripe and 4K cluster, NTFS, Win2k Pro.
In HDTach, I'm getting a burst of around 76, but then my sustained average is about 23. The high is 41, and the low can see-saw to 10. Before I RAIDed, I had scores around 20 on both disks (independently.)
Can you gurus help?
