I have the Neo2. My sys temp is always 6-8c higher than my CPU. Its running at around 40c all the time. My question is, if i slap some AS5 on it, is that bad? Im not sure wether or not you can put conductive grease on the NB. Just makin sure before i do it. Obviously, i know to be real careful to have no "spill over" onto the board itself.

Yup, you can use AS5 or any other goop. I used AS5 with the stock fan assy on my Neo 2, but am currently looking for a passive solution. It didn't make any difference...it's just a bad/noisy sink.

This will probably void your warrenty...

Alot of them come with the goop only half way on the chipset, and i feel like mine is one of them. As for it voiding the warranty, newegg does not check underneath the MSI fan when you RMA a board.
