Gravis Game Pad Pro + THPS 2 + Win 2000 PRO

The Game Pad Pro is the one that looks like a Playstation controller. It goes nuts playing Tony Hawks' Pro Skater 2 in Windows2000. I have the most recent Gravis drivers.
Anyone had similar problems?
 
I have problems navigating the menu screens in the demo using a Gravis-like gamepad. I think the problem is because THPS2 doesn't have a dead-zone option for the jittery gamepad cursor (usually around 5%), at least not from what I can tell
