Gravis Eliminator Pro Question

My gaming has been in hibernation for the past few years so please bear with me. My new rig runs Win2k and I have just loaded up Quake2 (never finished it ).

Is it possible to use a my new Gravis Eliminator Pro gamepad with Quake2?

Obviously Quake2 dates the gamepad by quite a few years but I was hoping to use it.
