Actually my cousin went out for some drinking, came home grabbed the baby and laid down in the bed with the little girl. He rolled over and smothered the baby while he was sleeping. He was convicted of child abuse and did some time in prison. But as he told the judge when he personally asked for a stiff sentence "Sir there is nothing you can do or say that can punish me more then me living with the memory that I killed my baby girl. If I live forever and I know the memory will haunt my every waking moment, it still is not punishment enough".
