I live in the Southeast (North Carolina) so the climate gets pretty hot/humid in the Summer. My two dogs have managed to tear my back yard up pretty good this winter. Couple sections just down to dirt now and some other high traffic areas in need of some work.
My soil is very mature, dark and loose. I have bought fescue in the past but it seems to be really thin and easy to die (from heat and traffic). Can anyone here recommend a stronger grass seed? I'm looking for something that can hold up to better foot traffic and heat. And something that doesn't look so thin/fragile like the fescue does. Also, something that may turn yellow in the cold months but won't die. Hoping to plant sometime next month if I feel the last frost has come/gone.
