Once again, plug in the values to the quadratic equation.

Holy sh!t. If you're taking multivariable calculus (Calc 3 in my school) and you don't know how to use a graphing calculator, let alone the quadratic formula, you are in serious trouble.

I am sorry for my above ouburst.I should realize that if he cannot use the quadratic or a graphing calculator, that he will soon fail and that the business shcool will have a new student.

Just use the solver if you have no idea about the bounds.

you have to be sh!tten me. geesh...you are in a calc class and you do not know the quadratic equation? You don't even need a calculator to do it.

PS How come no one will help me with my transistor question:(

I wrote this for my quadratic function on my TI-83 Plus way back.

Prompt A,B,C
(-B+(B^2-(4*A*C)0^0.5/(2A)->X
(-B-(B^2-(4*A*C)0^0.5/(2A)->Y
Disp X,Y

You can find the commands in catalog.

OK, put it in y= again and make your left bound -10^99 and your right bound 10^99 and make your guess 0.

That will solve it... eventually
