graphics upgrade

i recently upgraded my video card to a readeon 9500 pro 128. my motherboard is an asus a7m266 with an award bios 1004a dated june 2001. do i have to upgrade my bios to fully enjoy the benefits of this new video card? any input would be greatly appreciated.

It wouldn't hurt. But it probably won't help either.

Still, some compatability issues might have been ironed out or something, I say give it a shot.

might want to first check the website to see what exactly has changed since then.

i've tried checking with asus. they have the worst website for support. there is a bios upgrade for my board that includes support for geforce 4 cards. i am not sure what would differ from the previous version. so i am not sure.
