Graphics that come with a Intel G2020

Hi everyone, I picked up a cheap computer that came with a G2020 processor. What I'm trying to figure out the graphics that comes with it (besides "integrated graphics").

I believe it has the same 6 EUs of HD2500 but without the full acceleration features such as Quick Sync. That's why Intel just calls it HD graphics and not HD2500.

Looks like "Intel HD Graphics" which I believe has 6 EUs as compared to 16 on the higher end ivy cpus. Not sure what kind of performance it would have, but dont expect too much.

For everyday use it should be fine though. Look up "Intel HD Graphics" on Wikipedia, it has a very extensive list of the processors and what igps they come with.

Here's the specs on it's graphics capabilities from Intel.

HD 2500 with QuickSync disabled, gaming performance should be the same as HD 2500 (apart from the rest of the CPU and its impact, like l3, also the maximum clock is a little bit lower, still performance should be within 5-10% to this I think )

keep in mind "HD Graphics" is a name used by at least 3 totally different IGPs,
the Clarkdale IGP, the Sandy Bridge GT1 and Ivy Bridge GT1, all perform differently.

I recently compared "general experience" with this particular chip and it's on-die graphics versus a basic discrete card (Geforce GT 640). And with the Geforce, everything was smoother and noticeably faster (Windows 8), especially web browsing. Long story short, I didn't want to come back to integrated graphics, purely for "power saving"/cost reasons. I have enjoyed the extra performance and extra memory onboard, for regular desktop tasks. These days, GPU plays a much bigger role than before.
