Graphics Problem?

Over the last week I've been seeing some weird lines show up on my monitor. It doesn't matter what program I'm in because I see these things in everything. Here is a pic of what I see. I cropped the screenshot so it would be smaller, but I see this stuff across the whole monitor and in two colors: red and light blue.

Is it a problem with my graphics card? Something else?

Looks like it could be your gfx card artifacting. Often caused by too much heat. Clean out the heatsink on the card, if necessary. You could also take off the side of the case and have a fan blow air in there to see if that clears it up.

Ah, ok. Ironically I do have a couple of fans I bought that I have yet to install. I'll get them in and see if that clears it up.

Thanks

Sorry for bringing this old thread back but I am still getting these things on my screen. Any more suggestions?

I hope it's not my graphics card since it's not even two months old.

It sure looks like classic vid card artifacting to me. If it's only 2 months old, you should still be able to get RMA.

Is there anything else I could do to try and resolve this issue without having to RMA? If I have to, I will, but I would like to try all my options first.

FYI. Since I installed those extra fans (plus turning on a fan that I forgot in my initial setup), the GPU temp fluctuates between 35*C-40*C while before it would be 45*C or higher. Is that a good temp range? Too high? Too low?
