graphics problem with NFS Underground 2 - 9600XT

Well I just got the 9600XT yesterday... $80 after tax and rebate woo hoo!

It will work fine at whatever resolution as long as it's not on the highest or second to highest, if that happens, everything goes screwy, and when i'm in the explore mode all i can see is my taillights and the tach and a few other things... any insight?

Turn off AA. Or, if you would like AA, update NFSU2 to v1.1 and download Catalyst 4.11.
 
Dumb question, but I installed the Catalyst Drivers on the disk that came with it, where can I find the version that I have installed?

And umm... what if the copy I have isn't 100% legit... is there any way to get v1.1? Girlfriend is probably buying it anyway but until then...

And what exactly does anti-aliasing do for me exactly?
