Is there a table of benchmark results published somewhere? I'm curious about how the Intel integrated video compares to some older/slower cards like mobility 9000, 7500, and the xpress 200m. If it's even slower than all of those, is there an older card that it can be compared with?

It seems like most benchmarks don't bother comparing with older hardware.

Also, I usually only see 3d benchmarks used. Is 2d performance for all cards generally similar these days?

2d performance is usually ignored, although some cards will have higher 2d quality than others, performance differences are almost unnoticable.

as far as the GMA900 goes, it has a high (high for integrated, at least) theoretical performance, but in real world situations, it will be as slow as the IGP320/IGP330/IGP340/IGP245s or whatever those ATI integrated things are numbered. The 200m will bench slower on things like 3d mark compared to the GMA900, but it will actually be much much faster in most games. i'm not sure where a mobility 9000 fits in, which might also depend on if it has dedicated ram or shared ram (since it came in many flavors).

All in all, also remember that the xpress200m and gma900 are directX 9 cards, which the 7500 is directx 7.

My laptop has an Intel GMA915 chipset, and 3DMark results are... well, amusing. 2003 scored something like 600-800 marks, I forget the exact number.

We have reviews of the Intel Extreme 2 and GMA900, with the ATI RadeonXpress200M IGP coming soon. (not individual reviews mind you, but std benchies in the reviews). Check out the HP dv1000 & Sony FS550, IBM R52 as well.
