And to try and work out the wattage is pointless. Thats why we use the current the A on the 12v. the wattage on the box is just theoritical number. you take what you get on the 12 total for the Corsair psu its 624W/12=52A


Ummmm......if wattage information is useless and theoretical, then amperage is just as useless and theoretical, since both represent the same thing and are derived from one another, just like you showed. A=W/V. Or W=V x A. You use one to derive the other. So, if one value is "theoretical" and "useless", how can you trust that value to derive another and trust that number? Doesn't make sense.
